Dr. Joe Bordeaux
Dr. Bordeaux was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. His father was an orthodontist in Tacoma for over 40 years and Joe decided to follow in his footsteps. He graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory High School and then went on to receive his B.A. from the University of Washington in 1985. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Creighton University Dental School in 1989 and then was accepted into the University of Nebraska Orthodontic Graduate Program on a Regents Scholarship. He completed a two year full time specialty residency and graduated with both a Masters of Science (M.S.) degree and a Certificate of Orthodontics in 1991. Dr. Bordeaux is a Board-Certified Orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. This is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists. Currently, 58% of orthodontists are board certified. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Washington State Society of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Society, Pierce County Dental Association, and Club of Orthodontic Study. Joe and his wife of 37 years have three daughters. His other interests include golfing, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
